1 more week of Bermie๐Ÿ˜ฅ

This last pday we were able to go to another cave! We also went and walked around a place called Coney Island and got some good food at pickled onion! A good time as always! I may have slipped on some of the rocks out by the water and got a gnarly scrape on my arm, and everyone thought I crashed on a bike. It's healing well though!

Also our recent convert friend Alex was able to speak in church on Sunday and he did super good! He spoke about the covenant path and the changes he has been able to see in his life because he chose to get baptized.

There were a few events this week in Bermuda that we were able to contact at. One was relay for life and the other was Sail GP, which is a sailing competition they do here. It was nice to be able to switch up our finding a little bit!

This week felt like it was full of a getting bashed a lot again, but we were able to put our friend Ajani on date so please pray for him to have strength to overcome the word of wisdom and come to church!!

This is my last week in Bermuda before I'm back in New York, so I'm just enjoying the time I have left to serve the amazing people here in Bermuda!!

I am truly so grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ. So many people out there either don't believe in or haven't even heard of Him. I don't know what my life would be like without our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Without them we are nothing and I'm so grateful that because of them I can become something!

Hope you all have the best week!!

Venetia got Baptized!

What a good week! Last pday we were able to go back out to dockyard for the 3rd time, but there are cruise ships all the time now so just like when we went to St. George's there were a lot more things open. We also were able to eat another fish sandwich haha(all we ever eat when we eat out) from a place called Woody's. It's the best one we have had yet!

Also!! Thank you for all of your prayers. Our friend Venetia was able to be baptized on Sunday. We thought it was going to rain, but the weather turned out beautiful. We are super happy for her!

We were able to meet lots of cool people this week, but right now we don't have anyone that's progressing a lot. Just still finding and teaching lots! We were able to meet someone this week though who felt like we were at his door for a reason and we are excited to help him receive more of the Gospel in his life. We also met a girl who was super open with us and told us a lot of her life story. It was cool to see just how much the Lord has been preparing her, so hopefully we can meet with her again soon! Please pray that she will be able to get Sundays off.

I had the opportunity to speak on Sunday! I spoke about the joy of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for the amazing opportunity I have to share the Gospel with everyone each and everyday. In my talk I shared this quote by Neil L. Anderson which says, "if you're not a full-time missionary with a missionary badge pinned on your coat, now is the time to paint one on your heart-painted, as Paul said, 'not with ink, but the spirit of the living God'". I invite all of you do to the same and I know you will find SO much joy in doing so!

Love you all and hope you have the best week!

Personal Testimony! ๐Ÿ’ช

It was a wonderful week as always! Last pday we went to a place called Abbotts cliff, which is just a lookout spot so nothing too exciting, but it was really pretty! And then we just enjoyed being out by the water!

We were able to talk with a lot of amazing families this week! And the family from Barbados were able to come to church with us on Sunday so that was awesome! It truly has made the Gospel even more real to see how it can help these families have eternal families!

Our friend Venitia also was able to come to church with us just this past Sunday and will hopefully be getting baptized this Sunday, if not sometime soon! We are super excited for her and this next step. If you all could continue to pray for her that would be amazing!

We also were able to meet this sweet lady the other day who has lost a lot of family over the last couple of years and we were able to teach her more about The Plan of Salvation which was super sweet. I am so grateful for The Plan of Salvation myself and that we have the knowledge of where we will go after we die and what we have to look forward to.

There was a lady we met this week as well who did not want to meet with us and was not interested at all, and we wanted her to be able to watch one of the churches videos and she wouldn't give us her number. So I wrote the whole link to the video on a pass along card because we knew how much it truly would bless her. I'll attach the video and invite all of you to watch it if you haven't before(:

I also was able to eat some fresh bananas from by our apartment and a member fed us this week, so we are eating good here in Bermuda haha

This week as we shared the Gospel we ran into lots of Seventh Day Adventists and people who just wanted to bash us. It helped me realize and remember just how important our personal testimonies are. I invite you all to continue to grow your testimony of the Gospel, and if your testimony feels weak share it with someone. The best way to build and strengthen our testimonies are to share them(:

Love you all and hope you have the best week!

Most Valuable Brick! iykyk

Last pday we were able to go to St Georges! There was a lot more going on since there are more tourists now so that was fun! We walked around and looked at all the shops, got some yummy food and went to the unfinished church.

We were able to meet with our friend Venitia this week, but she wasn't able to come to church this week so we are moving her baptismal date back a little bit. We are still super excited to help her prepare and had a good lesson this week. We found out some deeper things she is dealing with that will make it easier to know how we can teach her and help her prepare for this amazing next step. If you could all continue to pray for her that would be amazing!

We also were able to put our super awesome friend Sylvia on date for the end of May. We had been teaching her for a little bit, but she was not able to come to church so we gave her a little bit of a break. She ended up coming to church on Easter Sunday though so we started meeting with her again and hope we are able to help her prepare for May!

SO many amazing miracles happened this week! One being this super sweet lady we met on the street. She told us that the second she saw us on the street she knew that we were walking with Christ. She then told us about how about a month ago she lost her husband from a heart attack and he was back in the states so it had been a while since she had seen him. We hope we are able to teach her more about the plan of salvation soon. The second happened while we were out, about to go knocking. We ran into a lady on the street and as we were talking to her the cutest mom and her kids walked by, but since we were talking to the other lady we didn't get a chance to talk with them. Later that night we had a lesson fall through and only had about 15 minutes to go knocking before our next lesson, so we went up the hill where the mom and her kids went. The one and only door we knocked in that 15 minutes was their home. We are super excited to teach them!

This week we also had zone conference which is always so good!

As I studied this week, I studied a lot about personal revelation. I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who leads and guides me each and everyday. It isn't always easy to recognize when and how He is speaking to us, but I am grateful for the opportunity we have to seek revelation from Him each and everyday and know His plan for each and everyone of us. I invite you all, as President Nelson and the leaders of our church have recently, to seek personal revelation more in your life and do the things necessary to follow His commandments and feel His answers.

Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!

Happy Easter๐ŸŒผ

Last pday we were able to go to a place called Admiralty House! It was super pretty as well as the rest of Bermuda! It all is starting to look about the same, but still a good time!

We had an amazing lesson with our friend Venitia and one of our older members who is planning to head out on here mission soon. It was an amazing lesson and the lesson after we were able to put her on baptismal date. We are excited to hopefully help her prepare to be baptized in May! Please pray for her and our sweet friend Ross.

The same member who was able to join our lesson invited us to eat some fish cakes with her on Wednesday, which weren't too bad! Good Friday is big here so everyone eats fish cakes and flies kites like all week and especially on Friday. On Friday we went to Horseshoe bay and there were a ton of people flying their kites so that was fun to see.

President and Sister Holmes also came out to Bermuda this week and we had dinner and did interviews with President. He also was able to set apart the Sister we had join our lesson with Venitia for her mission and we joined. It took me back to the day I was set apart and reminded me of how grateful I am that I am a missionary right now and am able to help people come closer to our Savior each and everyday!

This week we shared the churches video for Easter this year with lots of people as we were finding. Easter is over, but I invite all of you to watch it if you haven't had the chance. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made for each and everyone of us and that He was resurrected so we can all live again one day as well.

Miracles!

What an exciting week it was! Lots of amazing miracles happening here in Bermuda! This past pday we went to clear water out in St David's and walked around a nature reserve. We also went to a place called Baileys Bay and found a coconut close enough to the beach that we could get it out of the ocean, so Sister Snow and I broke it open and she enjoyed it because I don't like coconut! An experience for sure!

We were able to have some amazing lessons this week with our friends Venetia and Ross! They both are progressing very well and we were able to have some members in with us so that made them even better!! Please keep them both in your prayers ๐Ÿ™

We also met a super sweet family from Barbados with twin 5 year olds and we are so excited to start teaching their cute family!

Bermudians love to eat everything on coffee rolls and raisin bread, so some people we do service with brought us some tuna and coffee rolls. We ended up adding some cheese and it was probably the weirdest thing I have ever tried in my life๐Ÿ˜‚

Our friend Alex was able to receive the priesthood this Sunday which was very exciting! We can't wait for him to start helping with the sacrament!

This week as I studied I realized more fully how The Book of Mormon and The Bible work together as I read about the stick of Joseph and the stick of Judah. I am so grateful for The Book of Mormon and the power it brings in my life and the power it brings for our friends! I have seen people truly change because of The Book of Mormon. There is a quote from Preach my Gospel I love that says, "...the church is not just another religion, nor is it an American church. Rather, it is a restoration of the 'fulness of the Gospel',, the same as was revealed and taught from the beginning". I know this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ and one of the greatest ways we can come to know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that this is Christ church is through The Book of Mormon. I invite all of you to gain a greater testimony of The Book of Mormon and it will CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

Love you all and hope you have the best week!

General Conference!!

Last pday we went to a sand glass beach and it was pretty cool! There also were a ton of super old pieces from an abandoned boat. It was super pretty as always! And we headed back out to dockyard again and went to a museum about Bermuda. Sister Snow and I both don't really like museums, but we had a good time!

This week we were able to teach some very powerful plan of salvation lessons. The best plan of salvation lessons I've ever had. One with one of our friends who lost their daughter when she was only about 3 months old. And our other friend who lost her brother in a car accident. It was amazing to be able to testify that they truly will see their family members again. It was cool to see how much comfort it brought them in such a short amount of time.

We also met a guy who was out singing and we at first couldn't find where he was, but we ended up finding him! He sang a few songs for us and then came to conference this weekend!

The elders also had a baptism this week and we were able to have some of our friends come and watch! When their friend first saw us he came over and said, "Hi Elder Reynolds and Elder Snow!". Made us laugh for sure, but it was a wonderful baptism.

Conference this weekend was amazing!! I am so grateful we have the opportunity to hear from a living Prophet and Apostles! One of my favorite talks was by Gary E Stevenson when he mentioned that sharing the Gospel is just an extension of who we already are. We don't have to be a full time missionary to do missionary work and we don't have to do anything super big, we can just be ourselves and help others feel God's love! I invite you all to watch for opportunities to share God's love with someone in your life!

Love you all and hope you have the best week!

Happy General Conference Week

This last pday we went to the aquarium here in Bermuda and explored a place called blue hole. It was absolutely beautiful! We had a good time for sure.

On Tuesday Sister Snow took her driving test and now we are both licensed Bermuda drivers!

We were able to find some cool people this week. Two of them were on Saturday. We had left the church to go find and decided to go somewhere we hadn't been before, rather than finishing knocking in an area out by the church. It was pouring rain so we weren't super stoked about going out to knock but we felt like it was what we were supposed to do. So we got out of the car and started going up a driveway that seemed to never end. Sister Snow and I knew it was leading to a big house and we didn't think there would be anyone up there that would want to talk with us. As we continued up the driveway it continued to rain harder and harder and when we got to the top of the driveway the doors to the house were wide open and there was a guy heading up the stairs. He was doing construction there and we were able to teach him a little bit. We are excited to continue teaching him!

The second was while we were in the park teaching one of our friends. This guy walked by during the lesson and we invited him to join the lesson. He ended up being super interested and is super down to read The Book of Mormon!

Then on Sunday we had our friend Alex and the member who baptized him, teach us the Plan of Salvation and it was amazing. It felt like a missionary pay day to see how far Alex has come and to hear his testimony. Him and AJ will for sure be the best missionaries!

This week as I studied I read a BYU devotional by Elder Holland titled, "Cast Not Away Therefore Your Confidence". I love this quote, "Fighting through darkness and despair and pleading for the light is what opened this dispensation. It it what keeps it going, and it is what will keep you going". There are trials and troubles that we all will go through, but keep fighting and turn to your Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week! Don't forget to watch General Conference this weekend!

Alex's Baptism! Happy St Patrick's day! ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ€

This week was a good week! Last pday we were able to go to some beaches and relax! We went to Jobson's cove again and then to a jungle forest thing which was fun to explore!

OUR FRIEND ALEX GOT BAPTIZED ON SUNDAY! Thank you for all our your prayers. It was one of the most unique baptisms I've been a part of and was such a beautiful and special day. We can't wait for his mission in a year and to see how much his life continues to change because of the amazing Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are teaching a few young women which we are pretty excited about! If you could all keep Mayah, Amayah and Khyle in your prayers that would be amazing!

We also had a guy show us how to catch crabs. We were out finding by the water and saw this guy walking around picking things up but we couldn't tell what he was doing. So we went over and asked what he was picking up. Come to find our he was catching crab for bait and he continued to show us how he looks for the crab holes and taught us the technique to catch them. We didn't end up catching any, but we were able to teach him a little bit about The Book of Mormon in the process so we are excited to hopefully start teaching him!

The mission is amazing and this truly is the Lords work!

This week as I studied I read 2 Nephi 31:3

"3 For my soul delighteth in plainness; for after this manner doth the Lord God work among the children of men. For the Lord God giveth light unto the understanding; for he speaketh unto men according to their language, unto their understanding."

I am so grateful that He speaks to each of us according to our language and understanding!

Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!!
