Happy General Conference Week

This last pday we went to the aquarium here in Bermuda and explored a place called blue hole. It was absolutely beautiful! We had a good time for sure.

On Tuesday Sister Snow took her driving test and now we are both licensed Bermuda drivers!

We were able to find some cool people this week. Two of them were on Saturday. We had left the church to go find and decided to go somewhere we hadn't been before, rather than finishing knocking in an area out by the church. It was pouring rain so we weren't super stoked about going out to knock but we felt like it was what we were supposed to do. So we got out of the car and started going up a driveway that seemed to never end. Sister Snow and I knew it was leading to a big house and we didn't think there would be anyone up there that would want to talk with us. As we continued up the driveway it continued to rain harder and harder and when we got to the top of the driveway the doors to the house were wide open and there was a guy heading up the stairs. He was doing construction there and we were able to teach him a little bit. We are excited to continue teaching him!

The second was while we were in the park teaching one of our friends. This guy walked by during the lesson and we invited him to join the lesson. He ended up being super interested and is super down to read The Book of Mormon!

Then on Sunday we had our friend Alex and the member who baptized him, teach us the Plan of Salvation and it was amazing. It felt like a missionary pay day to see how far Alex has come and to hear his testimony. Him and AJ will for sure be the best missionaries!

This week as I studied I read a BYU devotional by Elder Holland titled, "Cast Not Away Therefore Your Confidence". I love this quote, "Fighting through darkness and despair and pleading for the light is what opened this dispensation. It it what keeps it going, and it is what will keep you going". There are trials and troubles that we all will go through, but keep fighting and turn to your Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week! Don't forget to watch General Conference this weekend!

Alex's Baptism! Happy St Patrick's day! 🏝 🍀

This week was a good week! Last pday we were able to go to some beaches and relax! We went to Jobson's cove again and then to a jungle forest thing which was fun to explore!

OUR FRIEND ALEX GOT BAPTIZED ON SUNDAY! Thank you for all our your prayers. It was one of the most unique baptisms I've been a part of and was such a beautiful and special day. We can't wait for his mission in a year and to see how much his life continues to change because of the amazing Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are teaching a few young women which we are pretty excited about! If you could all keep Mayah, Amayah and Khyle in your prayers that would be amazing!

We also had a guy show us how to catch crabs. We were out finding by the water and saw this guy walking around picking things up but we couldn't tell what he was doing. So we went over and asked what he was picking up. Come to find our he was catching crab for bait and he continued to show us how he looks for the crab holes and taught us the technique to catch them. We didn't end up catching any, but we were able to teach him a little bit about The Book of Mormon in the process so we are excited to hopefully start teaching him!

The mission is amazing and this truly is the Lords work!

This week as I studied I read 2 Nephi 31:3

"3 For my soul delighteth in plainness; for after this manner doth the Lord God work among the children of men. For the Lord God giveth light unto the understanding; for he speaketh unto men according to their language, unto their understanding."

I am so grateful that He speaks to each of us according to our language and understanding!

Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!!

1 YEAR! ❤

I have officially be a missionary for a full year! It's crazy to think it's already been that long and I only have a 3rd of my mission left. I am so grateful for all the things I have been able to experience and all the people I have seen change. The Gospel truly changes lives and its truly changed mine!

Last pday we went and fed some fish with our neighbor and enjoyed the island!

We also are SO excited! Our friend Alex will be getting baptized this Sunday! He is the most prepared person I have ever met! We have been able to see in just this last month how much the Gospel has changed who he is and we're excited for him to serve a mission in a year! Here in Bermuda people are baptized in the ocean and he'll be baptized at Jobson's cove. It is beautiful!

We were able to meet a guy this week who is from South Africa and speaks Afrikkans. He is super cool and prayed in Afrikkans in our lesson. The language barrier gets a little tough sometimes but he is super awesome and we are excited to keep teaching him!

Zone conference was this week as well, which is always kind of hard for us out here because we can't always hear super well. But it was really good and I learned lots as always!

We were able to go out to Spanish Point to find this week and it was beautiful as well. Bermuda is probably the prettiest place I've ever been, hands-down!

I am so grateful for this past year and the opportunity I have had to testify of our Savior each and everyday. I love that I am able to have a relationship with my Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and The Holy Ghost. I know that The Book of Mormon is true, and that Joseph Smith saw what he said he saw in the grove of trees. I love my family, and the knowledge that I can live with them forever because of God's plan for me. I am so grateful for my Savior, and the way He showed for us to make it back to Him and to our Heavenly Father! I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Here's to the next 6!

Love you all and hope you have the best week!

WE'RE DRIVING!

What a time to be a missionary in Bermuda. We made history this week! I am the first young missionary to get my license and start driving in Bermuda. They've had senior couples drive out here before, but none of the young missionaries. It's pretty crazy to be driving on the left side of the road, but it's a good time, and we love our amazing van 😅(I'll attach a picture of the giant van we drive which we named tiny)

Last pday we were able to go out to a place called Dockyard! We road the ferry over and were able to get some yummy food!

We were able to meet with Alex a few times again this week and he is doing so well! He is wanting to be baptized in May, but we know he is so prepared and ready right now and don't want him to delay the blessings of baptism. But he is still praying about when and has such an amazing desire to get baptized so we are really excited for him!

Two of our friends we have been teaching who know each other told us that when they were out playing corn hole the other night they started teaching people the plan of salvation and the word of wisdom. It was super sweet to hear that they had been sharing what we have been teaching them with other people they know!

As I've been studying this week I came across the scripture in Jacob 1:7

"7 Wherefore we labored diligently among our people, that we might persuade them to come unto Christ, and partake of the goodness of God, that they might enter into his rest, lest by any means he should swear in his wrath they should not enter in, as in the provocation in the days of temptation while the children of Israel were in the wilderness."

I am so grateful for the amazing opportunity to labor diligently for the Lord to help His children receive the amazing blessing of the Gospel in their lives. I invite you all this week to think of your favorite Gospel principle and share it with someone you know could use it(:

Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!
