Rain, rain and more rain!

This week was a crazy week. It has been raining so much here lately! Last pday we were able to go check out a place called Fort Hamilton, which was a good time!

We saw SOO many miracles this week! One of them was on Thursday morning. We went to town to meet some of our friends, but had a phone lessons before that so we went to town early. Our friend who we were supposed to have a lesson over the phone with did not pick up, but there was a man sitting at a table near where we were and we knew we needed to talk to him. We ended up teaching him the restoration and were able to put him on date! After that we unfortunately were not able to get in contact with him for a few days and were kind or worried, but we called him last night and he answered!! We were able to set up another lesson and are so excited to help him prepare for Baptism in March!

Right after calling him we called another one of our friends who's isn't on date yet but was praying about baptism and hasn't been replying recently. She answered as well and we are excited to keep working with her!

We also were able to find a cute family of 4! The parents are very busy and work a lot but they have a 7 month old and a 7 year old who will be turning 8 next month so we are hoping we can help their family receive the Restored Gospel!

We saw many other miracles this week and I say it almost every week, but this truly is the Lords work and He is so involved in helping each and everyone of His children. I'm grateful to be a missionary! ❤

We also got to zoom into zone conference and it was hard to hear a lot of the time, but I still learned lots! One of the things that stuck out to me in zone conference was when we have our purpose and the doctrine deep within us it truly will change us and we will become more converted disciples of Christ. I invite all of you to think of one way you can get the doctrine deeper in your heart and start doing it this week!

I hope you all have a wonderful week! Love you all!

Good morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening! 🇧🇲

Here in Bermuda it's apparently a big thing for people not to say hi very much but almost everyone says good morning, good afternoon or good evening when they talk to you or greet you. Just a fun fact for you all!

This last week was a good one! On Monday, we were able to spend some time with the district one last time and ate some good ol' shake shack. And the rest of the day was packing and getting ready to fly out to Bermuda! Because my covid test took a little while to come back, on Tuesday, I stayed with Sister Call and her new companion Sister Streit and on Wednesday morning they drove me to the airport! For any of you that ever go to Bermuda, just know that pepper spray is illegal and you should make sure to leave it behind haha. I had some in my bag from being in New York and had no idea it wasn't allowed so customs when I got here was fun.😅

This week truly has been amazing though. I already love the people here so much! The first night I got here we were able to meet with a lady named Maymay. She was someone who was formerly taught by missionaries and we taught the Restoration and were able to invite her to be baptized next month. She is currently praying about it and is now in quaratine so we were able to teach her half of the lessons 3 days in a row! She honestly is so prepared and if we can help her come to church and start reading The Book of Mormon she will be ready to be baptized so soon. She already has such an amazing testimony.

We are over a Branch out here in Bermuda and church on Sunday was my first time being in a Branch. It was small, but the church is still SOO true and the members here are amazing!

I truly am so grateful to be a missionary and for the opportunity to proclaim the Restored Gospel everyday of my life. This week I read the talk from last April General Conference by President Nelson, titled "Christ Is Risen; Faith in Him Will Move Mountains". I love the part where he mentions, "To do anything well requires effort. Becoming a true disciple of Jesus Christ is no exception. Increasing your faith and trust in Him takes effort." I want to testify that living the Gospel truly takes effort and it isn't always the easiest thing but it is the best thing for us and will bless us SO much!!

I love you all and hope you have such a wonderful week!!

Transfers!! Bermuda!!⛱

Last pday was a good one, we went to a lighthouse in Tarrytown and got some yummy Mexican food with the district!

This week was a weird but really good week!! We were able to get back in contact with Djani who was originally planned to be baptized this month. I guess something happened with his phone so we were not able to get in contact with him for awhile. But the other night we had not hit our goal for finding so we were calling a ton of people and the last person we decided to call was Djani and he picked up! We were able to put him back on baptismal date and he came to church on Sunday!

We also were able to meet a really sweet family! A dad and his 9 year old son and 12 year old daughter. They were not able to come to church on sunday but we were able to set up a return appointment and I sadly will not be here but I am so excited for them to be taught!

We saw so many miracles this week as always. The Lord truly is in this work and it truly is His work. I am so grateful I get to be a part of it!

Also about 5 months ago I wrote in my email, and I'm sure not too many of you recognized or remembered haha, but the week I found out I was training, I wrote about getting a call the day before I got a call about training and that call was for me to go to Bermuda. It's been 5 months of getting  a passport and a visa, but I am headed to Bermuda on Wednesday morning so pray for me as I try to navigate the airport 😂 But I cannot wait to serve the people there!! My new companion will be Sister Adhikari!

I am so grateful for this Gospel and the amazing blessings that come with it!! I am grateful for the Restoration of The Gospel of Jesus Christ and the peace and comfort it brings me to know the things I do. I am so grateful for the opportunity to bring that truth to others. ❤

Have the best week! I am so grateful for all of you!

Families! The Greatest Church Ever!

This week was a great week! Last pday we were again able to spend some time with the district playing games! We played the Bean Boozled game with gross jelly beans which was a good time haha! I lucked out with the bad tasting one of toothpaste so that was nice!

We also were able to find some families this week! We started knocking more. Some of them have already fallen off unfortunately, but there is still a husband and wife we are working with who have a little girl and one on the way! He is super interested and truly knows God put us in his path, but we are still working on getting the wife on board so hopefully we will be able to help them with that his week. He also really wants to be baptized! Please keep this sweet family in your prayers!

Our friend Carrie also is still working on preparing to be baptized on the 30th so we are super excited for that!

We had the chance to speak on Sunday as well and I spoke on the sabbath day. I am so grateful for the sabbath and that we have a day to rest and remember our Savior even more than normal.

I also was able to finish The Book of Mormon again! We had a mission goal to finish it before the end of the year and I was about a week late, but I finished! I am truly so grateful for The Book of Mormon and the power that it can bring into each of our lives. This week as we have talked with many people, they continuously tell us that they aren't looking for another religion or another church. I have come to a deeper realization that this is not just another religion or church, this is Christ's church and the ONE and ONLY way back to Him and our Heavenly Father and the way we are able to live with our families forever. I am so grateful for that knowledge and that I don't have to be lost or confused. I'm grateful as well that I can bring that knowledge to others each and everyday.

I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week! It is week 6 and transfers are next week, tune in for some exciting news!! ⛱

Happy New Year! 2022!!

This was an amazing week!! Last pday we were again able to get together with the district and play some games!

On Tuesday we met some of the coolest people! We unfortunately were not able to get in contact with the mom and her sons we found last week, which was sad but there are more amazing people the Lord has put in our path! One of them we found as we were planning to go where we find often and I felt that we should go to a neighborhood somewhere else, so we did. We ended up finding a guy who had no form of contact(his phone was disconnected and he doesn't have a set address right now) but we were planning to meet him at the library on Sunday. We totally forgot about him until he ended up showing up to church!! He walked an hour an a half in the cold to come!! His phone was back on and we were able to get his # and set up a time to meet again! We also were able to find another guy and we are planning to teach his 2 brothers and his mom! There have been many more amazing stories and we know God is truly preparing people to receive us.

Our friend Audrey was able to be baptized and she was SO prepared. She met missionaries for the first time when she was young and has ran into missionaries everywhere she has lived  ever since. God really was preparing her and it was finally her time! She also bore her testimony at church on Sunday and it was such a powerful testimony!

Our friends Ahmad and Carrie are still working towards baptism this month so if you could include them in your prayers that would be amazing!

I'm so grateful for this new year and what's to come!! I'm so grateful that because of Jesus Christ we don't have to wait until the next year to change, but we can change everyday and feel the power of His grace and Atonement in our lives.

I love you all and hope you have an amazing week! Happy January and happy 2022!
