Spirit led!๐Ÿ™Œ

Just another amazing week here in Brooklyn! Last pday we were able to spend some time with our district as always and played some fun games and got some good food.

We had zone conference which is always super good and I learned a lot! It was bitter sweet because it was my last zone conference and they had us give our departing testimonies. I can't believe how fast the mission has gone and how little time I have left.

We were able to meet lots of cool people this week! One day this week we decided to go to an area to talk to people on the streets that we hadn't ever been before. It ended up having a lot of people predominantly of another faith and they for sure did not want to talk to us, so we decided to leave. When we left we ended up meeting someone on the train who had fallen asleep and didn't know where they were going so we got off on a stop we weren't planning to get off at to help him. After we helped the guy get where be was going we decided to switch to a different train and we ended up running into this cool guy named Kanye in the station on our way to the other train! He just came back to new york from school somewhere but really wants to find a church to go to and he was able to come to church Sunday so we are excited to keep teaching him! I am so grateful for the way that God was able to lead us to meet him!

Another day this week we were trying to decide where to go to find and we asked the other sisters who also cover the same area where they were going so we didn't go to the same place to find. After they told us for some reason we felt like we should still go there. We ended up meeting our really cool friend Dajah! She wasn't able to come to church but is really excited to come soon. She is going through a lot and I know the Gospel is going to help her so much!

I'm so grateful this week, for how much God was able to lead us to where we needed to be and for the Spirit that makes it all possible :)

Love you all and hope you have the best week!

Kevin Got Baptized! ๐ŸŽ‰

This week was a little bit rough, but we still saw amazing miracles! Last pday was Sister Wilcox's last pday and we hung out with the district, got some good food, went to coney island and played some volleyball!

My new companion is Sister Hurst and she's from Idaho! I mean pretty close to Utah, but it's been nice to tell people that she's not from Utah since most people assume we all are from Utah๐Ÿ˜‚

Our friend Kevin was able to be baptized this Saturday and will be confirmed this Sunday! We were super excited for him and this next step! And are excited for him to receive the Holy Ghost!

We met some amazing friends this week and are hoping to help them continue to progress!

As I was reading The Book of Mormon this week, I read in Helaman 5:47, "Peace, peace be unto you, because of your faith in my Well Beloved, who was from the foundation of the world." I know that peace truly does come as we put our faith in Jesus Christ, and I have found that this week many times. I know our Savior truly is there for us. If you are going through a hard time right now, I promise He is there for you:)

Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!!

Last 6 weeks ๐Ÿ˜ณ

This week was an amazing week and an amazing way to end the transfer! We were able to get some good food last pday and just relax!

Our recent convert Sharls went back to see his family and is gonna be gone for a few months and probably won't he back before I leave so we said by to him this week which was sad...

We had an elder send us a referral this week and told us that he was a 2 week baptism, so we have been teaching him and trying to help him be baptized before he heads back to school in a few weeks. His name is Morris, and he was able to come to church this week!

We also met an awesome friend this week named, Kiyana and she was able to come to church as well. We are excited to keep teaching her and help her prepare for Baptism soon as well!

We have some other cool friends who weren't able to come to church this week, but we are still meeting with them and excited to help them progress!

If you could all pray for these amazing friends that would be awesome:)

We had 12 friends come to church this week, which was insane! We called a ton of people Saturday night and we were a little worried because not very many people were answering us... but we ended up having some amazing friends come and one of our friends brought two friends with her!

This week really was just miracle after miracle!! So grateful to be here in Brooklyn! ❤️

We had transfer news this week, and I will be getting another new missionary to train for my last transfer. It is so unreal to me that I am heading into my last 6 weeks as a missionary, but I am so excited to see what these next 6 weeks have to bring! We had a friend in a lesson this week say, after we asked him if he'd ever wondered which church was true, "Wow, sounds like this church might be it". I can say without a doubt in my mind that this really is the true church, this is where true happiness is found :) If you don't know that this is the true church or if you are struggling to keep your faith, I invite you to pray and ask God if it's true and I promise He will answer you.

Love you all and hope you have the best week!

Already Week 6 again! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

This week was a good week! Last pday we went to a place called tiger sugar and got some boba. It was pretty good and definitely worth it. We also went to a place here in Brooklyn called Industry City with the district. We got some good food and then stopped by the Barclay's center! Pday was a good time as always!

Our friends Cassie and Carlos were able to come to church and they both are preparing for baptism on the 27th! If you could all pray for them that would be amazing! Our friend Kevin sadly was not able to make it to church so we are planning to have his baptism on the 20th of this month instead of this Saturday. But he's still super awesome and has been reading and loving The Book of Mormon.

We also had this random guy come to church with us who we met on the way to church! We cover a family ward and the ysa ward so as we were headed to the ysa ward after the family ward I asked this guy on the street if he wanted to come to church with us. He said yes and ended up walking up to the church with us! He kept turning back to me in the middle of sacrament meeting and saying, "I'm definitely coming here every week!" Haha.

We have one more week of this transfer, which means one more week with Sister Wilcox before she heads to the Netherlands. I am so grateful for this transfer and can't wait for what week 6 has to bring!!

This week as we taught one of our friends, he was asking a lot about Jesus Christ and The Atonement and he asked, "Why did Jesus Christ have to do it?" It got me thinking a lot about the Atonement and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He did it because He loved and loves us more than we could ever imagine. Because He wanted us to be able to change and become more like Him and our Heavenly Father. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and that He loved me enough to sacrifice for me, so I can overcome ALL things. ❤️ If you don't have a personal relationship with  God or Jesus Christ, I invite you to start growing that relationship and your life will greatly change!

Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!

Breakfast Sandwiches๐Ÿฅฏ๐Ÿงƒ

 Hello Everyone!

This week was a good week! Last pday we went and got some good food at one of our members restaurants and went to a bbq place w some of the other sisters in our district. The sisters then wanted to find a thrift shop they had seen but they couldn't remember exactly where it was so we walked around forever trying to find it and ended up finding a different thrift store which was alright haha, but we definitely got our steps in.

We were able to meet with our amazing friend Carlos this week as well! He is preparing for baptism in a few weeks and has been progressing super well! He sadly wasn't able to come to church this week due to work but he really wants to come and bring his 7 year old son. When we met him on the street I shared with him that he could get baptized in a few weeks and when his son turns 8 in a few months he could baptized him! He loved the idea of that and we ended up sending him the Rome Italy temple tour video and he loved that as well! He's super awesome, if you all could pray for him as he works through the word of wisdom that would be awesome! ❤️

Our friend Kevin in the ysa ward was able to come to church again this week and loved it! We are helping him prepare to be baptism in just a few weeks. He has been reading and praying about The Book of Mormon and baptism and is just amazing!

My companion and I have decided that we want to work on better following the spirit in our missionary work and this week we saw a miracle from that! We got on the train and as we are traveling we talk to everyone in the train car and if we've talked to everyone before we get where we are going we'll just switch train cars. So we had that happen and we were about to switch train cars one way when I felt prompted that we needed to go the other way. My companion ended up finding this really cool guy named Kwame! He unfortunately didn't come to church either but is super interested and we are excited to teach him!

One of the spanish elders in our area sent us a super awesome referral this last week of a girl named Akilah. We called her and she told us that she hasn't been to church in a while but is going through a lot and feels like she really needs to go back to church. We asked if she had ever been baptized and she said, no but that she really wants to get baptized. We then invited her to be baptized on the 20th of August and she took a little bit to respond and come to find out it was because she was with a friend and we were on speaker, and the 20th is her friends birthday so she said they both wanted to be baptized that day! They didn't end up coming to church so they sadly can't get baptized on that day, but it was for sure still a miracle this week :).

Love you all and hope you have a good week!
