MISSION ACCOMPLISHED πŸŽ‰✅️

 Hello Everyone!

If you weren't already aware, I come home this Wednesday! This email is gonna be a short one, but I am SO GRATEFUL for my mission. The Gospel of Jesus Christ really changes lives and especially these last 18 months it has changed mine. I know The Book of Mormon is true and Joseph Smith really was a Prophet who restored this church! I know that God loves each and everyone of us and Jesus Christ truly is our Savior!

Thank you all for the love and support you've shown me while I've served in New York City, Bermuda and Connecticut.

God bless! See you all in a quick few days! ❤️ my homecoming will be on October 16th, so let me know if you want the information!

Last week of the missionπŸ˜₯Elder Rasband!

This last pday we were able to go to coney island again with the district and play some beach volleyball! It was a good time as always! We also were able to go to the member in our ward's restaurant again and he fed us some good food!

This week Elder Rasband was here which was AMAZING! He talked a lot about miracles and remembering the feelings that we have from the Spirit so when our faith is tested or the adversary tries to tempt us we can stay strong and remember the experiences we've had! I was able to train his great niece and serve in Bermuda like he did, so it was cool to have him and his wife here! I am so grateful we are able to have a Prophet and Apostles here today to lead and guide us!

This week nothing else too exciting happened, just doing the best we can to find, teach and baptize here in Brooklyn! I did have 3 guys this week ask me if I was married or tell me they wanted to marry me so that was something πŸ˜…

I also was able to finish The Book of Mormon again! I am so grateful for The Book of Mormon! I know it's true and has the truths we need to be able to fully follow Jesus Christ and make it back to live with God, Jesus Christ and our families forever!

Love you all and see you in a week!!

Down to 2 weeks πŸ˜₯

Another good week here in Brooklyn! Last pday we went to the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridge again, since Sister Hurst hadn't ever been and we got some yummy ice cream again!

Our friend Kanye is still preparing for baptism on the 24th of this month and we are super excited for him. We also got a call from some elders in Manhattan on Sunday and they said one of their recent converts had a friend who has come to church the last 2 weeks and wants to be baptized! We are excited to teach him as well and hopefully help him be baptized the same day as Kanye!

We also were able to get back in contact with our friend Carlos who we were helping prepare to be baptized this month, until we lost contact. We found out he may be moving soon, but we are so grateful we were able to get back in contact with him!

This week we had a cool experience again with being able to follow the spirit. We were heading to an in person lesson and were planning to go down a road we usually go to that is busier and has more people to talk to but I felt prompted to go down another road that felt like it was going to be pretty ineffective. But we ended up running into a guy who's car broke down and he said him and his family need to go back to church. We ended up calling him the next day for his lesson and we weren't able to get in contact with him, but sometimes you just need those miracles in the moment. And it was another spiritual experience that I'm super grateful for! I invite all of you to pray for the ability to recognize the Spirit more fully in your life :)

That's about all for this week! Love you all and hope you have a good week!

Hair Cuts ✂️

Another week here in Brooklyn! Last pday we were with the district again and we played some volleyball! I also had my hair cut by the guy who cuts the elders hair so that was exciting πŸ˜‚, don't worry it's not too uneven haha.

We were able to meet with our friend Kanye this week, and he is doing well. He just really wants to change and it's been cool to see how much the Gospel of Jesus Christ is helping him with that! He also has a lot going on though so if you could all pray for him that would be amazing!!

Our friend Dajah was not able to come to church again this week, but we are hoping she'll be able to come this next week and hopefully we can start meeting with her soon!

Nothing else really happened this week, we have just been working really hard to help our friends progress!

I have been praying this week to see and recognize how my mission has changed me and on Sunday I really was able to see how much my mission has helped me and changed me, and how much it will continue to bless my life after the mission. I know that God truly does answer our prayers and He wants to help us! ❤️

Love you all and hope you have the best week!

Spirit led!πŸ™Œ

Just another amazing week here in Brooklyn! Last pday we were able to spend some time with our district as always and played some fun games and got some good food.

We had zone conference which is always super good and I learned a lot! It was bitter sweet because it was my last zone conference and they had us give our departing testimonies. I can't believe how fast the mission has gone and how little time I have left.

We were able to meet lots of cool people this week! One day this week we decided to go to an area to talk to people on the streets that we hadn't ever been before. It ended up having a lot of people predominantly of another faith and they for sure did not want to talk to us, so we decided to leave. When we left we ended up meeting someone on the train who had fallen asleep and didn't know where they were going so we got off on a stop we weren't planning to get off at to help him. After we helped the guy get where be was going we decided to switch to a different train and we ended up running into this cool guy named Kanye in the station on our way to the other train! He just came back to new york from school somewhere but really wants to find a church to go to and he was able to come to church Sunday so we are excited to keep teaching him! I am so grateful for the way that God was able to lead us to meet him!

Another day this week we were trying to decide where to go to find and we asked the other sisters who also cover the same area where they were going so we didn't go to the same place to find. After they told us for some reason we felt like we should still go there. We ended up meeting our really cool friend Dajah! She wasn't able to come to church but is really excited to come soon. She is going through a lot and I know the Gospel is going to help her so much!

I'm so grateful this week, for how much God was able to lead us to where we needed to be and for the Spirit that makes it all possible :)

Love you all and hope you have the best week!

Kevin Got Baptized! πŸŽ‰

This week was a little bit rough, but we still saw amazing miracles! Last pday was Sister Wilcox's last pday and we hung out with the district, got some good food, went to coney island and played some volleyball!

My new companion is Sister Hurst and she's from Idaho! I mean pretty close to Utah, but it's been nice to tell people that she's not from Utah since most people assume we all are from UtahπŸ˜‚

Our friend Kevin was able to be baptized this Saturday and will be confirmed this Sunday! We were super excited for him and this next step! And are excited for him to receive the Holy Ghost!

We met some amazing friends this week and are hoping to help them continue to progress!

As I was reading The Book of Mormon this week, I read in Helaman 5:47, "Peace, peace be unto you, because of your faith in my Well Beloved, who was from the foundation of the world." I know that peace truly does come as we put our faith in Jesus Christ, and I have found that this week many times. I know our Savior truly is there for us. If you are going through a hard time right now, I promise He is there for you:)

Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!!

Last 6 weeks 😳

This week was an amazing week and an amazing way to end the transfer! We were able to get some good food last pday and just relax!

Our recent convert Sharls went back to see his family and is gonna be gone for a few months and probably won't he back before I leave so we said by to him this week which was sad...

We had an elder send us a referral this week and told us that he was a 2 week baptism, so we have been teaching him and trying to help him be baptized before he heads back to school in a few weeks. His name is Morris, and he was able to come to church this week!

We also met an awesome friend this week named, Kiyana and she was able to come to church as well. We are excited to keep teaching her and help her prepare for Baptism soon as well!

We have some other cool friends who weren't able to come to church this week, but we are still meeting with them and excited to help them progress!

If you could all pray for these amazing friends that would be awesome:)

We had 12 friends come to church this week, which was insane! We called a ton of people Saturday night and we were a little worried because not very many people were answering us... but we ended up having some amazing friends come and one of our friends brought two friends with her!

This week really was just miracle after miracle!! So grateful to be here in Brooklyn! ❤️

We had transfer news this week, and I will be getting another new missionary to train for my last transfer. It is so unreal to me that I am heading into my last 6 weeks as a missionary, but I am so excited to see what these next 6 weeks have to bring! We had a friend in a lesson this week say, after we asked him if he'd ever wondered which church was true, "Wow, sounds like this church might be it". I can say without a doubt in my mind that this really is the true church, this is where true happiness is found :) If you don't know that this is the true church or if you are struggling to keep your faith, I invite you to pray and ask God if it's true and I promise He will answer you.

Love you all and hope you have the best week!
