Zone Conference!

This week was a good one! Nothing too crazy happened at the start of the week but on thursday we had zone conference which was really good! It was a lot about finding and goal setting, so it was very beneficial for me! We got to know President and Sister Holmes so that was good as well. Then on Thursday I got to go on exchanges with Sister Zhang! We door knocked and weren't able to find anyone, but we did run into this guy on the street and we got his number so hopefully we'll be able to get in touch with him soon! He said him and his wife would be interested, so we're pretty excited to see what happens! We also knocked on a door of a family who only speaks mandarine chinese so it was a blessing to have Sister Zhang there so she could talk with them! They weren't interested but she saved me from an awkward encounter. 😂

We also went street contacting at the park the other day and we were able to talk to some cool people! We got a few people's numbers and we're not sure how interested they are but it was lots of fun to get out and street contact to change up our finding methods and use the variety we have available. 

There's a scripture I read this week that I really love! It's Jacob 4:10, 

"Wherefore, brethren, seek not to counsel the Lord, but to take counsel from his hand. For behold, ye yourselves know that he counseleth in wisdom, and in justice, and in great mercy, over all his works." 

This was something that really hit me. How often am I counseling the Lord and not seeking His counsel? Just something to think about(: I invite all of you to think about how you can allow the Lord to counsel you more in your life and not just counsel Him.
